The Miqo Privacy Policy was updated on the 21st of April, 2020.

Here at Miqo, privacy is one of our key pillars so we've developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, store, use, transfer and disclose your personal data.

Please note in this document 'Miqo' refers to Miqo Innovations LTD, UK registered company number 12347739, its employees and any subsidiary companies.
The Miqo Service refers to transactions and authorisations made through a Miqo Bloq product.

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person or data to identify an entity or entity's employees.
You may be asked to provide your personal information for security pursposes anytime you contact Miqo. It is also necessary for Miqo to collect certain information about its customers to provide identification services. You are not obliged to provide personal information that we request, however, if you decide not to do so, we may not be able to provide you with the products or services you are requesting.
You can also choose to disclose your personal information to other entities by authorising through Miqo however in this instance it is important that you read and agree to their privacy policy because they are not overseen by Miqo.

What Information We Collect about You

When you register for a Miqo product that is covered under the Miqo Service, such as Bloq, we ask and collect information inlcuding: name, date of birth, gender, postal address, email address, phone number, banking details, IP addresses and social media identifiers.
We may also request documents which prove identity which inlcude: passport, national identity card, driving licence, provisional driving license, birth certificate, bank statement, credit card statement, utility bill, council bill, tax bill and insurance documents.
When purchasing other products which are not covered under the Miqo service, we may also collect personal details such as: name, address, email address, phone number, IP address, social media identifiers, banking details and credir or debit card details.
Transactions and authorisations made through the Miqo Service are subjection to collection of details such as: date and time, vendor, authorisation type, location and value.
Any products that are purchased through the Miqo Service can be subject to collection of details as with the Miqo Service.
Contacting Miqo about the Miqo Service can allow us to collect data about your contact history, subject and message which is tied to your Miqo Service account.

As a business, we collect details about the person of contact such as: name, date of birth, gender, postal address, email address, phone number, banking details, IP addresses and social media identifiers.

How We Use the Information We Collect

We process your personal information as described in this privacy policy: to ensure we can provide the best service to our customers, to comply to any legal obligations of which Miqo is subject, to fulfil any contractual agreements to you, to ensure we are providing accurate and backable information and to pursue any legitimate interests of which disclosure is necessary.
We can use contact information to keep you up to date with new product and developments. You have the ability to opt out of this.
There are some cases where we will send important information relating to your account, or information regarding changes in Miqo's legal material, products or services. You will not be able to opt out of these whilst you are using the Miqo Service.
We also use personal information to help us plan, develop, improve, operate our products, services, operations and marketing. We also comply with anti-fraud, loss prevention, security and legal compliance purposes. This inlcudes analysing collected information for potentially illegal activities.
We may also compare data to that of third paries to assess its validity in critical identification processes, and may report, to the required legal standard, any discrepancies we find.
We may use your personal information to decide if you are eligible for certain products or services, for example based on your age or location.
Exclusively with your consent, we can also share your information with other businesses or Miqo Service users. This information can include all information stored under the Miqo Service.

Your Information Collected from Third Parties

We may collect your information from third parties for an account setup, after your consent. We can also collect personal information as provided from a current customer, for example through a referral.
We may collect information from a third party for fraud, loss prevention, legal compliance and verification purposes whilst you are applying to, or are customer of the Miqo Service.
We may also recieve personal information from marketing or lead generation third parties in order for us to contact you.

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

Non-personal information referrs to data that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual or business. If non-personal information is associated with personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information.
We may collect this data from third parties such as advertisers and marketing analysts. We may also collect this data from your interaction with our content.
Non-personal information collected can include: occupation, language, IP address, Unique device identifier, product usage, website interaction.
We may collect, store, use, transfer and disclose non-personal information for any purpose.
